The Manners of the One Who Memorized the Qur'an

The Manners of the One Who Memorized the Qur'an

A lot is said regarding this matter in the chapter that came before this. And among his manners is; he should be in the best conditions and best attitudes and forbid for himself all that the Holy Qur'an forbids for the respect of the Holy Qur'an and avoid humiliating jobs. He should walk with dignity and elevate himself over the arrogant and wicked people of this world and humble himself to the pious, the righteous, and the needy people. He should always be in a state of calmness dignity and honor. Umar may Allah be pleased with him said: (O you group of reciters! Lift up your heads, for verily the path has become apparent to you, and compete in good deeds and do not be dependent upon people).

Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud  (rudiyallahu unhuma) said: (the Qur'an memorizer must be known by his night while the people are asleep, and by his day while the people are eating and by his sadness while the people are happy and by his cry while the people are laughing and by his silence while the people are chatting and by his humbleness while the people are boasting.
Hassan Al-Basri said: (those before you considered the Holy Qur'an as letters from their Lord, due to that they contemplate it in the night and implement it in the day time).

Fudail Ibn Iyaadh (rahimallahu) said: (the memorizer of the Holy Qur'an mustn't be in need of the rulers or those beneath them). He also said: (the memorizer of the Holy Qur'an is the bearer of the Islamic banner, therefore it is not befitting for him to have past-time with those who have past-time, and he should not neglect with those who neglect, and he should not engage in vain conversation with those who engage in vanity, by doing that he honored the holy Qur'an). And he should avoid making money off the Qur'an. Abdul-Rahman Ibn Shibl said: recite the Holy Qur'an and do not eat with it nor stay away from it nor exaggerate in it
