Judge by Shari’ah (Islamic Law)

Judge by Shari’ah (Islamic Law)

‘Allama Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ‘Al al-Shaikh (may Allah bestow His Mercy on him) says: in his Tahkim Al-Qawanin (Judging by the Law)

“To judge by the Shari’ah (Islamic Law) to the exclusion of everything else is the twin half of worshipping Allâh Alone to the exclusion of everyone else.”

‘Allama Shanqiti (may Allah bestow His Mercy on him) says:

“Setting partners with Allâh in the matter of His judgment and ruling and setting partners with Allâh in the matter of worship both mean the same thing; there is no difference between the two. So he who follows a system of law other than the system of Allâh’s law and a legislation other than Allâh’s law and a legislation other than Allâh’s legislation and he who worship an idol and prostrates himself before an icon have surely no difference between them; they are one and the same. Both of them are polytheists, setting partners with Allâh.”

(Adwa’ al-Bayan, Vol.7, p. 162)
