Iddah is of different Types:

Wa ‘Alaikum Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Iddah is of different Types:

·        Iddah of the a woman who does not menstruate due to menopause or young age in three months the proof is At-Talaq: 4

·        Iddah for a woman who menstruates and then her menstruation cease for a known or an unknown reason. If the cessation happens as a result of a know reason such as breastfeeding or sickness, she needs to wait for the return of the menses and continue her Iddah even if that takes a long time. But, if the cessation is due to a unknown reason she observe Iddah for a year. In the case of a slave woman she only observe Iddah for eleven months. This is the decision of ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab t, among the emigrants and the Helpers and nobody opposed him.
·        Iddah of a woman who husband has just died. It is four months and ten days for a free woman two months and five days the proof is Al-Baqarah:234

There are more but I only listed a few
