Recommended Read "How to Understand the Qur'aan" (Shaykh Muhammad Jameel Zeeno)

Our duty towards the Qur'an: We should recite the Qur'an as it should be recited; We should understand the
Qur'an just as the Prophet, his Companions and the Pious Predecessors understood it; We should act by it, judge by it and should be happy with its judgments since it judges with justness.

It is a Book appropriate for all times and places; We should be guided by its guidance, since it leads us to eternal bliss; We should take our manners and etiquettes from the Qur'an, for indeed the Prophet's manners and etiquettes were the Qur'an which he implemented upon himself and his Companions; We should go back to the Qur'an and the Sunnah as a judge in all our disputes."

Referenced throughout with verses from the Holy Qur'an, this book deals with the above, with various topics discussed including tafseers of the Qur'an by the Qur'an, hadeeth, sayings of the Companions; distinctiveness of the Qur'an revealed in Makkah and Madinah, distinctive qualities of the noble Qur'an, mutshaabih, tashabeeh (resembling), the revelation of the Qur'an in stages

"Sitting During The Blessed Month of Ramadan"

Recommend read "Sitting During The Blessed Month of Ramadan" by Shaikh al-Uthaymeen excellent read...

From the wisdom of Fasting is that it breaks down the soul and puts restrictions to its pride until it submits to the truth and is humble to the creation. For verily, satisfaction from food, drink, and intimacy with women all leads to self-deceit, pride, and arrogance, which ultimately results in belittling the creation and rejecting the truth. That is because when the soul needs these things it becomes busy in trying to obtain them, but once a person obtains them, he feels like he has succeeded in his (mission). This produce within him the blameworthy pride which leads to his distruction. Surely the safe one is he who is saved by Allah.

Recommended Read “ Tenets of Faith A primer to the Orthodox Muslim Creed, The Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah”

Yaa Ahkwaat!

I’m back with another recommended read entitled “ Tenets of Faith A primer to the Orthodox Muslim Creed, The Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah” by Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen

The book is very basic when it comes to explaining  our beliefs the chapters are somewhat short the vocabulary is not where you won’t understand which is Great because it allows you to really digest the book Masha’Allâh! This book will be of Great benefit for those of you looking for something small to start reading with a group of sisters.

An excerpt from the book:

 The Shaikh said:

“ Liberating the mind and intellect from chaotic confusion, which arises because the heart is devoid of this ‘Aqeedah. Since if the heart is devoid of it, then it is either devoid of all creeds, worshipping materialism only; or it gropes around in deviated beliefs and superstitions.”

I can not stress this engouh become hungry and thirsty  for this knowledge of the religion  because as I stated before and will continue to say this is that we have those who want to keep us in the dark. How many times have you have come across sistesr who are new to the Deen and are rushed to get married but have no knowldege of the basic fundamentals of the religion if she is blessed her husband will teach her. But from what I have seen in my years of practicing this is not the case  most of the brothers are all about themselves period. Leaving the sister in a sad situation (SMH)… I don’t have to go on you’ve seen this happen either to yourself or others The point is learn this religion for yourself not for no one else. My ears are closest to me!  I love you for the sake of Allah my beautiful sister.

As’Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

I pray that everyone is doing well during this cold weather Masha’Allâh!  Where you can find a lot of quite time to just read, Na’am! I have come across another good read which is excellent for what is going on during this time where you find most of us are still confused when it comes to certain topics and really want to learn the truth. Well you can start with this book very short which you can knock it out in one sitting Insha’allah the book is called “The Beautiful Advice To The Noble Salafis of the West” By Shaikh ‘Abdul-Aziz Ar-Rayyis

Excerpts from the book:

Now unfortunately, many of the Salafi brothers live in a state of taqleed (blind follows), and this is not all! Rather they call to taqleed (blind follows), and this is not all! Whoever does not agree with them in their taqleed (blind follows), of some men, they deem him as misguided, they have enmity to him, they deem him as an innovator and consider him an opposer and one who dissents with Ahl-ul’Ilm! This is big mistake!...

Today, many brothers live in a condition of taqleed, calling to it and having fanaticism over it. You see them having fanaticism to a man to the extent that they accept all that he says and if you were to present the evidences contrary to what the man or noble scholar says, they will still continue to follow that man even if the evidences are presented which are contrary to him (his view)…

To learn more you have to Read the book! You might just learn something hopefully that will be a good thing. Unfortunately we still have those who want to keep the sisters in the Dark!

Allah says in His Noble Book:

“Verily, Allah will not change the condition of the people, until they change what’s in themselves.”
(Ar-Ra’d 13:11)
